Level 9 & 10
Regional Qualification
Procedures

Level 9 and 10 Regional qualifying score is a 34.00 AA at the state meet OR by PREQUALIFYING

(stipulations listed below) with a 35.00 AA received at any USA Gymnastics sanctioned competition during the current season, WITHOUT PETITIONING.

IESs may qualify with a 9.0 or higher at States. Injury petitions will be accepted per petitioning procedures in R&P with a 9.25.

There is no prequalification for IESs.

Injury petitions will be accepted per petitioning procedures in R&P at a 35.00 AA.

Stipulations for prequalification:

1. Register for and participate in their state meet.

2. Document the prequalification with their State Chair if required.

Level 7 & 8
Regional Qualification
Procedures

Qualification to the second annual Region 7 Level 7 Championships is as follows:

All Level 7 athletes who receive a 35.00 AA at their state meet will be qualified to Regionals. No IES

Injury petitions will be accepted per petitioning procedures in R&P at a 36.00 AA.

For Level 8:
All Level 8 athletes who receive a 34.00 AA or above at their state meet will be qualified to Regionals. No IES

Injury petitions will be accepted per petitioning procedures in R&P at a 35.00 AA.

Top 8 from each state meet, regardless of age division, will be eligible to compete for their State Team.

Please note: The Level 7 and Level 8 meets will be running simultaneously which means you could have athletes competing in 2 different gyms at the same time throughout the weekend.

Please plan accordingly.

Xcel Regional
Qualification
Procedures

The 2027 Xcel Regional qualifying score (from the athlete’s State Meet) for each level is as follows:

  • Gold – 36.00 AA
  • Platinum – 35.00 AA
  • Diamond – 34.00 AA
  • Sapphire – 33.00 AA

IES’s at each Xcel level may qualify with a 9.25 or higher at States OR by petitioning with a 9.45.

Please see R&P for petitioning procedures.

There is no PREQUALIFICATION to Regionals for any Xcel level.

Please note: The Xcel meet will be running in 3 gyms simultaneously which means you could have athletes competing in 3 different gyms at the same time throughout the weekend.

GK sizing information

All athletes who qualify for Level 9 Easterns or Level 10 Development Program Nationals will need to be prepared to provide this information to the Region when picking up your apparel package after awards.

Please review the sizing instructions and come ready to tell us what sizes you will need.

We will no longer be using sample sizers at the competition. Please review the GK sizing packet and youtube video in advance of the regional championship competition.
